Olmecacao drinking chocolate comes from the state of Santander in Colombia and is produced by the women's community "Asomucasi." The group consists of 23 women who were previously displaced by the guerrilla group (FARC) and were only allowed to return to their lands in 2008. Since then, they have organized themselves as a small women's group to better market their cocoa beans.
The panela used comes from an indigenous group. The "Arhuaco" live in symbiosis with nature and the environment and advocate a sustainable lifestyle, believing that the earth is borrowed from future generations and must therefore be preserved for future generations.
The recommended recipe is to heat and stir 8-10g of cocoa powder in 200ml of milk (cow's milk, oat milk, soy milk, etc.) or water for about 3 minutes.
Olmecacao products guarantee fair payment to farmers well above production costs, enabling long-term sustainable production with a good quality of life for all involved. Olmecacao and its participating farmers are committed to biodynamic cultivation to ensure they can continue to produce first-class chocolate for future generations.
